The Greater Northwest Region of Campus Crusade for Christ includes the seven states of Alaska, Washington, Oregon, part of Nevada, Idaho, Utah and Montana. We currently have over 80 ministries in our region. Our Regional office is in Portland OR.
The Greater Northwest Regional office serves students in:
Alaska
There are ministries on several different campuses across Alaska. Check out the links underneath the tan donation box to the right to learn more about the specific needs and giving opportunities on each campus.
Idaho
BSU
There are over 19,500 students at BSU, most of whom are living hopeless, frustrated lives apart from the God who loves them. Of those who do know God, a large percentage are also confused and far from Him. These will be the leaders of our community and the world. Our mission on campus is threefold: Every Student Hears...Every Believer Multiplies...Every Graduate Goes. We want to give every student an opportunity to hear how they can know God personally. We want every believer to not only grow in their faith, but multiply their life by influencing others for Christ. And we want every graduate to feel sent to the world, wherever God calls them, to continue building His Kingdom. We are trusting God to transform thousands of lives not only at BSU, but at numerous college campuses across southern Idaho, and in turn pray those students will transform lives around the world.
University of Idaho At the University of Idaho, we are trusting God for multiple spiritual movements acrosscampus. Our dream is that every student in every social, ethnic and academicaffiliation would get a chance to hear and respond to the Gospel. Our prayer isthat every student would hear the good news of Jesus Christ; every believerwould multiply and grow in their faith; and every graduate would enter the workforce intent on of making an impact for Christ.
Montana
University of Montana Our desire at the University of Montana is for every student to know someone who passionately follows Jesus. We desire to take the gospel to every corner of campus. Currently there are vibrant movements in the dorms and among the athletes. We are seeing God create communities of believers among International students and in the Greek system. We are breaking ground in creating a movement for Native American students. Weekly we gather at FUEL to worship, and connect with God and each other. Life Groups lay the foundation for students to build relationships and to allow Jesus to be their top priority. We hope that when a student graduates from the University on Montana they would be sent to the world to take the gospel of Jesus to those who don’t know Him.
Nevada
Oregon
Oregon State University
20,000 students walk around the beautiful campus everyday, seeking to know their worth, value and purpose in life. God longs to touch each heart at OSU with His Truth and His love in Christ. Through the Epic (Asian American) Movement, the Military Ministry, Greek system, and those focused on the dorms we are drawing students who don’t know God into fellowship. We are praying that as we engage with students, invite them into the body of Christ, and expose them to our Christ-transformed lives, they will be transformed as well.
Utah
Utah CRU is committed to being a safe place where EVERY Utah student and faculty:
• has a place to build life giving friendships,
• can explore the claims of Christ and the impact those claims have on life and faith and
• has opportunity to grow in Christian faith and ministry
We currently have student groups at USU, UU, Westminster and USU. We also have a church partnership at UVU. Our desire is to be on every campus as soon as possible :-)"
Washington
Seattle is the most unchurched city in our nation. Sometimes you can walk around campus and literally see and feel the darkness and hopelessness in their eyes. However, you can also walk around campus and meet students who love Jesus and others well and are reaching out to share the message of Christ with this world.
What we’re trying to do is to start transformational communities on the 38 campuses in Seattle in order to reach 250,000 students with the message of life and hope in Jesus Christ. We’re not there yet, but we have seen God start moving at Bellevue Community College, Highline Community College, the University of Washington, Western Washington University, Olympic College, Shoreline Community College and many others.
Seattle has already been used to change the world, eg. Starbucks, Boeing, Microsoft and more. Can you imagine what it would look like if the next thing Seattle was known for was as a city captivated by Christ? A city where graduates would flood the workplaces of the United States and pour into nations around the world with hearts set on the Lord and skill to help others know Jesus?
Central Washington University has about 9000 students. We seek to reach out to each and every one of them with the gospel. We host a weekly meeting, bible studies and have one on one discussions about Jesus.
